HONOMI KUWANA (JAPAN) began studying classical ballet with Kaori Ballet Studio at age 3 with her mentor, Kaori Kawabata in Japan. She is a 2007 graduate of the Joffrey Ballet in New York, and is a certified Gyrokinesis teacher. Looking to diversify, she studied Capoeira, Jazz, Hustle, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Waacking, Locking, Popping, and House. She has performed with Vissi Dance Theater, and Kinematik Dance Theater. After a gruelling audition in 2013, she became a cast member for Cirque du Soleil. In 2014, Honomi won the House Dance International, House Battle 1st place, and finalist for the Experimental Battle in New York City.
MATT MARR (CANADA) is a Canadian Dancer and aspiring Actor who worked his way into becoming a successful professional dancer based out of Los Angeles. Matt danced on the television shows 'Glee', 'Russell Peters Christmas Special', 'Warehouse 13', 'Bombgirls', 'The Marilyn Dennis Show', numerous industrials has stepped into the musical theatre world performing in the world premiere of 'Summer In The City' directed by 'Randy Johnson' Most notably to date, Matt will be appearing as 'Danny', a lead role in the upcoming Dance Feature Film "East Side Story" Produced by David Winters which will feature 9 of American and Canadian SYTYCD's top All-Stars. Matt made his way into the Top 3 spot of the fourth and final season of SYTYCD Canada.
CLAUDIA FERNANDEZ VALDIVIA (CUBA) was born in Havana, Cuba. She started studying with the National Ballet School of Cuba as a child. At age 15, she moved to Santiago de Chile where she finished her dance studies at the Arts Faculty of the U. of Chile and joined the Ballet of Santiago company. While in Chile, she started working on a TV series called “Amango”, and performed in live concerts. She then moved to United States, and has worked with professional companies such as “Arts Ballet Theatre”, “Polaris Dance Theatre” and “Oregon Ballet Theatre”. She not only has a classical ballet background, but also trained in Cuban Latin dances, which are the roots of her culture.
CLINTON HUFF (USA) began studying Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop at 11 in Los Angeles, CA. He spent 2 summers in France with amazing teachers including the boy’s technique teacher at the Paris Opera. During high school, he was cast in numerous musicals. His first job was an industrial for Nike in Hawaii! Commercials include Visa, Coke, Jack in The Box, Cheetos, Nokia, Budweiser, Nissan, Hondai, Target, Volkswagon, Bugaboo. Credits include Eli Stone, Disaster Movie, The Comebacks, Jackass #2, Glee, Malcolm in the Middle, Two and a Half Men, and “Larry Gaye; Renegade Male Flight Attendant”.
TYGER B (USA) discovered dance in Washington, DC with Hip Hop, and Dance Hall. He toured USA with recording group “4Bid’n”. He later moved to Philadelphia to become a graduate of the University of the Arts where he studied Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap. He worked as choreographer, dancer for R & B recording artist Ginuwine, Raven Symone, MTV’s Mena Heaven. He represented USA at WDC in Tokyo, Japan and at Juste Debout in Paris, France in front of 15,000 spectators. As a teacher and judge, he has worked in Ukraine, Russia, Japan, and Canada. He is also an airbrush artist, mixed martial artist, graphic designer, and model.
MEREDITH KERR (USA) was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and began dancing and competing at a young age. She has danced in the MTV Video Music Awards, BET awards & Latin Grammy’s. Meredith moved to Las Vegas for Toni Braxton. While performing with the R&B star she also danced for the Pussycat Dolls Las Vegas as a soloist. She performed in the water spectacular, “Le Reve”, and was with Cirque du Soleil’s the Beatles “LOVE” and also in the movie “Worlds Away”. She recently just performed for the television comedy “Super Fun Night” with Rebel Wilson. Danced with Ciara for her Album debut on BET awards and toured the world with renowned artist Usher.
GUILIA TRIPOLI (CANADA) is a dancer and choreographer known internationally for her talent, inspirational routines, and incredible passion. Giulia has created pieces and lead workshops in cities such as Beijing, Macau, Las Vegas, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and Israel. She has had the opportunity to perform with and open for chart topping artists such as Ke$ha, Mishon, Rihanna, and TRiSH, as well as appearing in music videos for Jully Black and Skye Sweetnam. Giulia appeared in the feature film ‘Sur Le Rythme’ and has returned from performing throughout China in various concerts, and awards shows.
DANIEL BAKER (AUSTRALIA) began studying ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and musical theatre at McDonald College of Performing Arts and the National College of Dance in Australia. He performed with the Australian Ballet, Sydney Olympic Games at the Sydney Opera House. He attended the School of American Ballet in NY at age 15. He became a soloist in Miami City Ballet and danced with San Francisco Ballet. He has performed with the Rockettes in the Radio City Music Hall, and the Premiere of “The Great Gatsby” in New York. He was also a finalist on the FOX SYTYCD Season 9. Daniel also choreographs for New York City Ballet and is currently on tour with Twyla Tharp's 50th Anniversary.
JUSTIN JACKSON (CANADA) is the 9 time tap dancing champion of Canada, and 5678 Showtime National Dancer of the Year 2009. He has appeared on SYTYCD, Breakfast Television Show, CTV live morning show, Penelope McQuade show, La Vie est Un Cirque which aired in Europe & France, and the nationally syndicated Wendy Williams Show in New York City. Justin was awarded the Late Victor Philips award by the Black Theatre Workshop, performed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, the Mayor of Montreal, The Montreal Casino, Just For Laughs Festival, Canada’s Got Talent Semi Finalist ‘Enigma Dance Crew’ and was a dancer for the Call It Spring shoe store campaign.
CHRIS JAROSZ (USA) graduated from Southern Methodist University Dance Program in ballet, modern, and jazz. He was in the Top 20 of Season 4 of FOX So You Think You Can Dance. Chris was in the original cast of Cirque du Soleil “Viva Elvis” in Las Vegas, and has performed on Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, and The Emmy’s. Chris has been featured on ABC’s “The Secret Life of an American Teenager”. He worked with JLO, and is on her album cover “Dance Again”. He performed with Justin Giles’ Contemporary Dance Co., “Soul Escape”, and TV movie, “Behind the Candelabra”. He most recently performed on the VMA's with Taylor Swift.
MELISSA MITRO (CANADA) runner-up on CTV‘s SYTYCDC Season 4. Melissa has worked with such notables as Emmy award winning choreographers Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookey, Mandy Moore, Travis Wall & Teddy Forance. She’s toured and performed with such artists as Nelly Furtado, PSY, Teagan & Sara, Mia Martina & Victoria Duffield. She danced at the Pan Am games in Mexico, TV Shows such as Murdoch Mysteries & Beauty & the Beast, Nick Carter Tour in America, the MMVAS & the Juno Awards. She’s performed all over Italy, Croatia, Spain & Poland. She has also been tagged as one of the most inspirational workshop teachers in today’s professional industry.
RODRIGO BASURTO GARCIA (MEXICO) He was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. He began his dance education as a “street dancer”. His thirst for more training and opportunity led him to Toronto in 2005. He has performed with Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, PSY, Flo Ryder, Nelly Furtado, Tai Cruz, and Pit Bull. His experience on SYTYCD gave him the platform to share his passion and motto to all young inspiring dancers that “anything is possible when you combine preparation, passion, and desire to follow your dreams.” Rodrigo has just returned from the BET awards in Los Angeles where he performed June 28 at the Janet Jackson tribute with recording artists, Ciara and Jayson Derulo.
SHANE SIMPSON (CANADA) originally from Toronto, Canada, began his journey in the performing arts early in life. By the age of 12, he portrayed Young Simba in the Mirvish Production of “The Lion King”. Landing a spot on CTV's hit show SYTYCD Canada jump started his career. You can spot him in several Music Videos, Commercials, Television Shows and Films; most notably Hairspray, and Disney’s Descendants. Shane has most recently had the privilege of performing live with international recording artist Janet Jackson and also performed with other talented recording artists: Justin Bieber, Arianna Grande, Lady Gaga, PSY, Jully Black, Serena Ryder, Victoria Duffield and Tyler Medeiros.
LOIC MABANZA (FRANCE) is originally from Paris, France where he was discovered as a teacher during the 2007 Paris Dance Tour. Loic now lives in New York, following his tour as a principal dancer for the “Madonna World Tour 2012” with more than 90 dates which was voted best world tour in 2012. Loic has worked with Madonna on the Oscars 2011 and 2013, video “Turn Up the Radio”, and the “Ellen Degeneres Show”. Loic is also an international model who is represented both in USA and Brazil. He has worked for Nike, Lacoste, Diesel and such magazines as Wad magazine, W magazine and GQ magazine. He has also toured the United States with recording artist Chris Brown and is currently on the 2016 World Rebel Heart Tour with Madonna.
YANN-ALRICK MORTREUIL HENRY (FRANCE) started dancing in Paris at age 5, after seeing Michael Jackson on TV. He has performed profesionally in France, Russia, Norway Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, and Canada. Yann has trained in Ballroom, Hip Hop, Modern, Tap, and is also an Acrobat. He won the championship title of France and silver world title for Boogie-Woogie and Lindy Hop in 2010. He is the winner of the nationally televised talent show La Meilleure Danse with Flore Merlier, has toured in the musical Robin des Bois Robin Hood, and was most recently was on the 5th season of “Danse avec les Star” Dancing with the Stars in Paris, France.
